Redditch gym in running for two prestigious awards

A REDDITCH gym has been shortlisted for not just one, but two prestigious awards.
Gymophobics Redditch is in the running for the Regional Gym of the Year and the Community Involvement awards in this year’s National Fitness Awards.
Zoë Cooke, director of Gymophobics Redditch, which won the Community Involvement award last year, said: “Just to be shortlisted is such a massive achievement.
“We are so proud of our club and really hope we win these awards this year.”
The gym, on Prospect Hill, has raised more than £30,000 for Cancer Research UK, £16,000 in the last 12 months alone.
It also runs a book club raising £4,000 for the Primrose Hospice and works with a number of other charity and community organisations.
Ms Cooke added: “These award nominations are a result of having such great staff and also fabulous members, especially our fundraising committee members who work so hard to raise money for all the charities we support.”
The results will be announced on November 30.
