BOREDOM may soon be a thing of the past for Redditch people as building work forges ahead on a new multi-screen cinema in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
Centre manager Ian McLelland said he had recently visited the site and was delighted with the progress being made.
He said: "The screens have all been closed up while soundproofing is installed.
"The projection rooms have all been built and they are now starting to install the sound systems.
"After this, carpeting will be put all over the walls, which helps muffle the sounds outside the building.
"Every time I go and look at the progress being made, I can see a real difference. It is really starting to take shape."
The work is due to be completed by December.
