FREDERICK Harbon, of Crabbs Cross, was engaged with another man named William Batson, on the roof of a house in Evesham Road when he met with a serious accident on Monday.
The men were re-covering the house and while in the action of turning around to hand some slates to his fellow workman, Harbon unfortunately slipped and fell a distance of twenty feet, landing badly on the ground.
Mr Batson immediately went about getting assistance to help his injured colleague.
From the house he was taken to the Bell Inn and then later to Smallwood Hospital.
He was detained in hospital with concussion and injuries to his legs and back but is recovering favourably.
