Charity ball to be held at Redditch hotel in aid of Help for Heroes

A CHARITY ball to raise funds for Help for Heroes is being held in Redditch next month.

The Heroes and Heroines Marquee Charity Ball will take place at Southcrest Manor Hotel and Spa, Pool Bank on Saturday, October 13 from 7-12.30pm.

All of the proceeds will go towards much-needed rehabilitation centres for armed forces across the UK.

Simon Chopra, co-owner at Southcrest Manor Hotel and Spa, said: “We are extremely proud to be staging this event as the recent conflict in Afghanistan has deeply touched us and the local community here in Redditch.

“We can all appreciate how important Help for Heroes is in helping to rebuild the lives of servicemen and women who have served our country.”

Tickets, priced at £60, include pre-dinner drinks and a three course Indian meal in the marquee. Free Radio Birmingham DJ Russ Morris of Free Radio Birmingham will be hosting the event and there will be live entertainment from Simply Swing, who performed at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Guests will also have the opportunity to bid for items in a silent auction and win raffle prizes. Dress code is black tie/evening dress.
