Polish man broke into his ex-wife's home

A POLISH man broke into his ex-wife's home in the early hours and caused her to flee into the street dressed only in her pyjamas, a court heard.

Dariusz Idcsak followed Irena Idcsak and grabbed her mobile phone as she tried to dial 999, said Jackie Rogers, prosecuting.

He walked off with the phone and later returned to break into her home again in Lodge Road, Redditch.

He stole alcohol and a computer hard drive.

Idcsak, aged 44, of Salters Lane, Redditch, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to burglary, theft and common assault.

He was given a 12-month jail sentence suspended for two years.

Judge Robert Juckes QC also made a two-year community order with 150 hours unpaid work and imposed a 7pm to 6am curfew for six months.

Miss Rogers said Mrs Idcsak was woken at 3am on February 26 by her estranged husband getting in through the bedroom window.

After the scuffle in the street, she returned and locked the house.

She later realised that Idcsak had entered it again but did not see him.

Michael Aspinall, defending, said the offences stemmed from the break-down of the relationship, Idcsak was extremely drunk at the time and now realised that the 20-year marriage was over.

He had shown genuine remorse for his behaviour.
