Help make Lucy's event a success

AS part of Macmillian's worlds biggest coffee morning residents are being invited to a special event.

Organised by 10-year-old Lucy-Mae Jones, from Church Hill Middle School, it is on Thursday, September 27 from 6.30 - 8pm at Redditch Premiers BMX Club.

Lucy-Mae, a member of the BMX Club and who competes in British National BMX Series, organised the event herself after seeing an advert on TV.

There will be a selection of teas, coffee, soft drinks and home-made cakes and biscuits for sale.

She will be helped on the evening by dad Steve and sisters Haley and Katie.

Lucy-Mae’s mum Fiona said: “She has never done anything like this before and we are all just so proud and touched that she would like to try and help.
“We are hoping that people come and support her and Macmillian to make the event a success.”
