A LUCKY woman from Solihull was the delighted winner of a £150 Kingfisher giftcard after taking part in a treasure hunt with her nephew in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
In August, the centre ran a ‘Wildlife Wednesday’ promotion which meant on every Wednesday live mammals, birds, insects and even reptiles were showcased in Worcester Square.
To compliment the promotion, a competition was run where customers were asked to find the centres mascot ‘Charlie the Monkey’ in different shop windows.
Nichola Barrett who is married and is a company partner of a Birmingham musical store, shops in the centre quite frequently. She spotted the competition and decided to walk around the centre with her nephew Jack, aged four, who spotted them all.
Mrs Barrett said: “I had seen the Wildlife Wednesday adverts and thought it was a nice idea. Jack and I went round and spotted the stickers, but I never thought that I would win the giftcard, it was juts a bit of fun while we were in the centre.
“I’m going to give Jack £50 worth of it and I will treat myself with the rest. I can’t believe I won.”
