Major fitness challenge raises £3,700 for SADS UK

AS part of a major fitness challenge 10 determined teams from a Redditch gym raised £3,700 for a good cause.

The teams, from Eze Fitness, joined others up and down the country to run, walk, row or cycle 2012km over six weeks.

Together the Redditch teams travelled a distance of 13,638km and were raising cash for SADS UK.

Redditch’s Eze Fitness club manager Phil James: “We’re absolutely delighted at the response we’ve had from the challenge from our member participants, local volunteers and local businesses.

“We knew the challenge would be well received but I don’t think any of us realised it would become as popular as it has.

“To have 80 people from 12 businesses actively participating and competing towards a common goal and raising so much money for a local charity is a fantastic achievement."

He added: “We couldn’t have achieved this kind of success without the huge support everyone involved has shown us and we’d like to thank each and every one of them.”

Nationwide, almost £27,500 was made for different charities.
