Redditch man due to appear before magistrates on burglary charges

A REDDITCH man is due to appear in court charged in connection with a car key burglary in the town and a burglary at another property.

The man, aged 25, was arrested on Friday, August 31 by detectives investigating a series of burglaries in Redditch.

He was subsequently charged with burgling a property at Goodrich Close on July 17 and stealing the keys to an Audi; theft of an Audi A3 worth £15,000 on the same occasion; and stealing electrical and other personal items in another burglary at a home in Bodenham Close on July 11.

The man was released on police bail to appear at Redditch Magistrates Court on September 18.

Detective Sergeant Martin Grant of Redditch CID said: "Burglary is a top priority for the force and we would encourage anyone who has information about those involved in breaking into people's homes or handling stolen property to contact police at Redditch CID on the non emergency number 101.

“Alternatively they can pass the details on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers which can be reached on 0800 555 111."
