Manchester United Legends to descend on Valley Stadium for charity match

A NUMBER of good causes are set to benefit as a team of Manchester United Legends descends on Redditch United’s Valley Stadium ground for an exciting charity match this Sunday.

In the Man U Legends line up will be Fraser Digby, Arthur Albiston, Dennis Irwin, Clayton Blackmore, Mike Duxbury, Lee Martin, Peter Davenport, Sammy McIlroy, Andy Ritchie, Frank Stapleton and Russell Beardsmore.

The organisations set to benefit from what promises to be a thrilling match, are cardiac charity SADS UK, Guide Dogs, Help for Heroes, Stand Up, and Redditch United in the Community.

Gates open at noon on Sunday, September 9 and tickets cost £5. Or for a VIP ticket, costing £40, people will be able to personally meet the players of the Manchester United Legends team.

There is also a chance to be a mascot on the day, for a price of £20.

People will be able to watch the match, then take part in an auction where they could win a shirt signed by all the players.
