Redditch man admits offering £500 to court case witness to withdraw evidence

A REDDITCH man offered a witness in a court case £500 to withdraw his evidence, Worcester Crown Court has heard.
Sean Ward, aged 23, of Cherry Tree Walk, pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Bailing him for a pre-sentence report, Recorder Geraint Walters said it was a serious crime which usually carried a prison sentence.
The offence on March 5 last year also beached a suspended jail term.
The case was adjourned until the week beginning September 17.
