Urgent appeal for bargain hunters

AN urgent appeal has gone out to encourage people to get involved with a charity auction in aid of Children in Need.

Teams of two people are being sought to take part in an event based on the Antiques Road Trip TV show where teams obtain items to be sold at an auction.

The money from those sales will then be donated to Children in Need.

Organiser Carrie Hunter said: “It looks like we will have to cancel this event as we have only had three teams confirm participation, with the only items on the programme so far being the ones we have obtained ourselves.

“If we don't get another 12 teams and 80 items at least it will have to be cancelled.”

The auction, to be opened my Redditch mayor Alan Mason, is planned to take place on November 10 at the Rocklands Social Club in Headless Cross.
