THE county council's biggest department – responsible for adult social care and libraries – is after resident’s views on its performance.

It has produced a report summarising how it thinks it's performing but wants to know if people and service users agree.

Adult and community services, led by Eddie Clarke, delivers a range of front line services, including social care services for adults, libraries and adult learning, heritage services, and community safety.

The annual report highlights what's gone well in the individual areas in the last 12 months but also what people have said about it - good and bad.

Eddie Clarke, Director of Adult and Community Services, said: "It has been a really challenging 12 months and in adult and community services we too have had to play our part in helping the council achieve savings.

“But while there are things we think we can do better, I believe we are continuing to deliver excellent services for people and are making a positive difference to their lives."

Comments received on the report will help revise and update it, which will be published later in the year.
