REDDITCH Swimming Club members took part in the West Midlands Regional Triathlon and Open Biathlon held at Wombourne on Sunday.
The triathlon competition forms a qualifier for the Modern Pentathlon Association of Great Britain national championships in November.
The biathlon composes running and swimming disciplines and the triathlon adds shooting to this.
Redditch competitors performed well and came back with numerous awards and qualifying performances.
Nine year olds Nicola Moss and Daniel Bridgman both won their triathlon competitions, with nicola heading all three disciplines for a commanding victory and Dan being fastest swimmer and leading the shooting.
Ten year olds Lydia May and Clara Parker took second and third places in their Youth E girls biathlon competition, with Lydia being fastest swimmer.
Youth D (11-12 years) triathlon girls Hannah Rolls (third) and Sophie Bridgman(fourth) both qualified for the national championships to be held in Wolverhampton.
Courtney Hyde finished first in the Youth C (13-14) girls triathlon and qualified for the nationals as an individual and as part of the West Midlands Modern Pentathlon Club's team of three.
Courtney scored more than 1,000 points in each discipline for an emphatic win.
Suzanne Britt produced a strong run to take second place in the biathlon and Jessica Nice came in ninth.
