Motorcycle training club goes into top gear for charity fundraising

RMT’s annual charity ride RMT’s annual charity ride

RMT Motorcycle Training and Riders Club in Redditch has just raised a fantastic amount of money during July, its charity month, for two causes very close to members’ hearts.

They collected over £2,000 for Cancer Research and Air Ambulance by organising a charity motorbike ride around the Cotswolds on July 10 and entering a Race for Life team on July 24.

The charity ride is a yearly event that is in memory of an old friend and avid biker who lost his fight to cancer several years ago. The proceeds of the ride out are being equally split between Cancer Research and Air Ambulance. Air Ambulance totally relies on the generosity of the public to fund its emergency services.

Simon Hayes, RMT Motorcycle Training owner said “I am really thrilled about the sum of money we have raised, these charities need our help and support all year round and we are extremely thankful to everyone who attended, contributed and helped to raise the total amount.

“We also support Acorns Children’s Hospice and a fundraising event takes place in December, just before Christmas, if anyone wishes to contribute or get involved please let us know.”

RMT Motorcycle Training and Riders Club hosts a yearly motorbike ride and will also be entering a team next year for the Redditch Race for Life.
