WITNESSES are being sought after a knife robbery in the Crabbs Cross area of Redditch at the weekend.
At around 1.20am on Sunday, December 20, three friends were walking along the footpath between Kenilworth Close and The Pleck - the field behind Church Down Close - when they were approached from behind by three males carrying knives. The males threatened them and demanded that they handed over cash and a mobile phone.
Two of the friends, one in his late teens and the other in his early 20s, received cuts to their legs during the incident and were taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for treatment. Both have since been discharged.
The offenders are described as three males in their late teens, with two of them believed to be white.
Acting Dc Sgt James Beard said: “This was a serious incident and we are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything to get In touch with police at the earliest opportunity.”
