STUDENTS and staff at Woodfield Middle School are celebrating a successful Ofsted inspection.
A visit by inspectors saw the school rated as good which continues to improve.
The report stated that all pupils were considered to achieve well and that the school's care, support and guidance contribute to the highly effective social, spiritual, moral and cultural development of pupils.
It also stated that the school has achieved its aim of being “a warm and welcoming environment in which all pupils will want to take advantage of the opportunities to learn”.
It concluded that the success was ultimately because of the strength of the leadership and management of the school.
Areas given for improvement include community cohesion and self-review as well as by the end of year 8, further improvement to pupil progress.
Headmaster Alwyne Jolly said: “We are delighted to receive such a positive report which recognises the important contributions made by pupils, staff, parents and governors.”
