POLICE investigating damage to a blue Vauxhall Zafira as it was parked at Tesco in Coldfield Drive in Redditch last month are appealing for a particular witness to come forward.
A man left the car parked in the supermarket car park while he shopped at the store on Saturday 24 October and on his return, found the wing mirror and windscreen wipers damaged and the paintwork on the car scratched.
He also found a note from someone claiming they had witnessed the car being damaged.
Pc James Campbell from Redditch police said: “The note included certain details about the incident which we have followed up but we now need to speak to the witness directly as he or she is likely to have further information to help our enquiries.
“We are appealing to whoever left the note to give us a call at Redditch police station on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 445-S-241009, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
