THE fateful voyage of the Titanic is being recreated by a Redditch arts group over the August bank holiday weekend.
Indigo Arts Heritage project will be recreating scenes from the doomed voyage at Forge Mill Needle Museum next weekend - Sunday and Monday, August 30 and 31.
Visitors will be able to experience the last moments on the Titanic, which will be brought to life by the group using the words and descriptions of the passengers and crew.
The museum has been working in partnership with the Indigo Arts Heritage project over the past few months.
The dramatic interpretations will be performed at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm on both days and are suitable for families. Normal museum entry fees apply.
Councillor Peter Anderson, Redditch Council’s portfolio holder for leisure, said: “I have already enjoyed Indigo Arts’ interpretations of life in the needle mill. It was amusing, enjoyable and very believable. I am sure that this will be an unforgettable experience that will be well worth the visit. They have a remarkable talent that will surprise anyone who has not seen one of their performances before.”
