TWO people have been ordained as deacons and one as a priest in parishes in the Redditch area.

A total of 17 candidates were ordained in Worcester Cathedral to serve in parishes across the diocese.

The Bishop of Worcester presided at the ordination, assisted by the Bishop of Dudley, and the Very Rev Peter Atkinson, Dean of Worcester preached.

Jo Musson has been ordained a deacon and will work in the Christ the King Team Ministry in Redditch and Diane Hayward-Wright, who will work in the parishes of Inkberrow with Cookhill and Kington with Dormston, was also ordained as a deacon Julie Humphries, who will continue to work in the Holy Trinity Team Ministry in Redditch, was ordained as a priest.
