FOR all those looking to have fun playing football, Redditch YMCA has a variety of activities on offer run by qualified football coaches and referees.
Running through the summer holidays on Monday evenings from 7-9pm at Trinity High School Astro Turf, a six-a-side Street Soccer league is open for all 13 to 18-year-olds. Trophies will be awarded to the winning teams. People can either enter their own team or come as a single player. Participants should bring shin pads with them and sessions cost £1.50 per player.
For those looking to improve their football skills, Soccer Development is running on Saturday mornings from 10-11.15am at Church Hill Middle School for players in school Years 1-4 and on Thursday evenings from 5-6pm for players in Years 5-8.
For those looking to play a variety of games, Redditch YMCA hosts a youth club on Friday evenings from 5.30-7.30pm for Years 5-8 at the Community Centre in Church Hill precinct.
Football is only one of several sports clubs run by Redditch YMCA. It also provides basketball, badminton, cricket coaching and fitness classes.
