AS part of a venture supported by the British Council, students at St Augustine’s High School have been playing host to some special visitors.
Pupils from Lycee les Lombards in Troyes, part of the Champagne region in France, visited the school to help students on the engineering diploma.
During the week long stay, activities involved casting miniature champagne bottles from aluminium in the metal work rooms while language students practiced their French on the visiting pupils.
The champagne bottles will be transported by St Augustine’s students back to Troyes in a return visit, where French students will assist in the completion on special machinery.
