AN action day will take place in Redditch to raise awareness of the possible closure of Mount Pleasant Post Office.
The Post Office has named Mount Pleasant as one of two that could be closing in the town as part of a Government policy to reduce the number of post offices across the country, but a campaign has already started to try and fight the proposal.
Prospective parliamentary candidate Karen Lumley will be in the town centre near St Stephen’s Church on Saturday from 10am-noon with a group of campaigners who will have posters and objection slips, and will talk to people about the consultation period taking place, when people can object to the closure.
