Skills take Michelle off to Chicago

A REDDITCH hair and beauty company is celebrating the success of one of its new star therapists, who has picked up a hat-trick of prestigious awards.

Michelle Holt, 24, who has just been appointed as a new Beauty Therapist at Legends Hair & Beauty, has received the special accolades of National Sterex Electrolysis Student of the Year, NEW College Beauty Therapy Student of the Year and Dermalogica Student of the Year.

Michelle was presented with her most precious award – the Sterex Electroylis Student of the Year Award – at Birmingham Council House.

She was also presented with a Sterex state of the art digital SXT diathermy epilation unit and first prize of a dream trip to Chicago in October.

The Sterex Student of the Year Award is a prestigious national annual competition run for the benefit of students and lecturers and is open to any training establishment throughout the UK.

Legends’ budding therapist was also named Beauty Therapy Student of the Year for 2008 by NEW College.

Michelle continued her success to pick up a third award from skin care giants Dermalogica, who also recognised the young therapist as their Student of the Year.

Geraldine Alekna, Legends’ manager and owner said: “We’re all extremely pleased and proud of Michelle.

“She has worked very hard to achieve all her awards and the recognition is certainly well deserved.”

Michelle is now a full time member of the beauty team at the hair and beauty salon on Evesham Road, Headless Cross.

She added: “I’m really honoured and pleased to have achieved such prestigious awards, both for me and for the salon. It’s a very exciting time for me.”
