ESQUIRES Coffee House in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre has joined fundraisers across Redditch to help raise money for Pitcheroak School.

The community coffee shop hosted a family fun day from 10.30am at their mall café in Worcester Square on Saturday, August 2, with a number of activities running throughout the day, including face painting, nail art and a colouring competition for school pupils.

Peter Kirton, managing director of Esquires Coffee Houses UK, said: “Pitcheroak School is a fantastic facility, providing vital support to local children and their families, and we are proud to join them in their fundraising campaign.

“Donations from the day were originally intended to help Pitcheroak School buy a minibus. But thanks to successful local fundraising efforts which have already taken place within the community, the school was able to order the bus this month, well ahead of schedule.

The funds raised by Esquires will now contribute to the ongoing maintenance and running costs of the minibus and the creation of new outdoor play activity areas designed to meet the needs of the pupils.

Steve Freer, Pitcheroak headteacher said: “The school provides an education for pupils with a diverse range of learning needs. Thanks to Esquires we will be able to continue raising much needed funds and provide the resources and equipment that contribute so positively to our pupils’ education.

“I’m really thrilled that the Esquires team has chosen to get involved with Pitcheroak School and support us in our fundraising efforts.”
