THERE'S no excuse for young people to be bored as Redditch Council launches its summer activities brochure Activ8.
The council's leisure and arts services department has joined forces with partner agencies to offer a packed summer programme at venues across Redditch and beyond.
Activities include a trip to Tamworth Snowdome, Brazilian soccer, kayaking, film making and wild art.
The Activ8 brochure is now available from all council-run sports centres, Forge Mill Needle Museum, the Palace Theatre and Arrow Valley Countryside Centre.
Copies can also be obtained from the council's website www.redditchbc.gov.uk, by calling Action Sport on 64676 or by emailing matthew.hartles@redditchbc.gov.uk.
Ken Watkins, head of leisure and arts at the council, said: "This year's programme is even more exciting for young people across Redditch and there is something for everyone in Activ8.
"Whether you're sporty or arty, want to learn a new skill, keep fit or just have fun and play, I'm confident you'll find the right activities in our summer programme.
"The leisure team at Redditch Council hopes everyone has a fun-filled and safe summer holiday and looks forward to seeing many youngsters at Activ8 activities."
