Excellent selection

10:03am Tuesday 1st July 2008

I WAS delighted to learn of the selection of Councillor Mrs Juliet Brunner, to contest the Worcestershire County Council seat, vacant after the sad passing of dear old Betty Passingham, in the Redditch East Division.

Juliet is no stranger to County Hall as an elected parent-governor representative. She is a graduate and experienced member of the nursing profession; served with some distinction on the children and young persons scrutiny panel, when members may recall her contributions.

Travelling back to Redditch with her on many occasions, her grasp of detail, enthusiasm and dedication was apparent. Mrs Brunner asked questions! Keeping elected members and officers on their toes.

Cllr Brunner's hard work, for ordinary people of all political persuasions and for those of no party affiliations in Redditch East, is regularly reported in our faithful local newspaper. As a parent herself and school governor of long experience she understands the needs and aspirations of the young people in our town, and she has personally initiated a number of successful ventures on their behalf.

Her personal faith and beliefs are a source of not only strength; but which also motivate her, to strive for the betterment of the human situation.

Her many friends and supporters wish her well.
