REDDITCH residents are being warned to close and lock doors and windows if they go out as the hot weather arrives.
Police often see an increase in "sneak-in" burglaries with the arrival of the warm temperatures and crime reduction officer Pc Stan Baker said: "Residents are reminded of the importance of closing and locking all doors and ground floor windows whenever they go out, or even just leave a room or go to bed.
"It only takes a minute for someone to sneak in and help themselves to a handbag or other valuables."
