HAYS Specialist Recruitment has helped raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care over the last two years, and has already beaten its fundraising target of £300,000.
On Tuesday, April 8, Hays' accountancy and finance and office support employees from Redditch and Solihull held a charity quiz night to raise money in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care to put towards the current total.
Held at the Rose and Crown Pub in Portway, the evening raised £818.50, which will pay for a Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse for 41 hours.
Clients were invited from across the region to be entertained by Consultant Helen Livesey as quiz master. Money was raised through the sale of tickets, daffodils and raffle tickets and several companies donated raffle prizes to the night.
A spokesman said: "Hays would like to thank companies for their donations and everyone who came on the night and helped to raise so much money.
"A special thank you goes to Tina and her staff at the Rose and Crown, who gave us the venue complete with PA system for free and were incredibly supportive throughout."
