AN Edgbaston man who had to wave goodbye to a blossoming friendship after a recent cruise ship holiday is hoping to trace a woman from Astwood Bank.
Tony Bradley, 68, was on a cruise around the Carribean on the Oceana from December 7-22.
Just an hour before he was due to leave the ship for Barbados airport to fly back to Bimringham, he looked for somewhere to sit.
He saw a woman alone at a table and asked if he could sit with her. The two struck up a conversation until it was time to return to their cabins to prepare for docking. After this they barely had a minute to speak to each other and never exchanged phone numbers.
Mr Bradley said: "We got on so well and I really regret not asking for her phone number, then it was too late. I would dearly love to get in contact with her again, she was a lovely lady and a solo traveller like myself."
The woman, called Christina, was about 60 years old and was very quietly spoken.
She told Mr Bradley she lived in Astwood Bank, had once lived in Edgbaston and had received the cruise as a birthday present.
If Christina would like to get in touch with Mr Bradley, she can call Helen at the Advertiser offices on 453536.
