A CHARITY for people who have been in care has opened a community café and offices in an old Redditch court building
Rees Café and charity shop has moved to the ground floor of the former County Court at 13 Church Road, while the Rees Foundation has moved its offices into the first-floor of the same building.
The charity, which provides support, advice, grants and other assistance to people who have been in foster care and residential care, has moved its staff of five from its previous offices in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.
Polly Jones, of the Rees Foundation, said everyone is thrilled to have moved into the charity's new base.
Property agents John Truslove helped arranged the move.
Ben Truslove, director of John Truslove, said: “It’s been a pleasure working with the Rees Foundation to identify new premises that can serve their needs and help them to flourish, and we’re delighted that its café, charity shop and offices are now open in Redditch.
“This location is in a prominent position in the town and the charity will hopefully see the benefit of this in terms of increased visibility and footfall.”
The new Rees Café is holding its official launch on Monday, August 20 between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
