WHERE should money be spent in Redditch? And how can your area be improved?

Those are the questions Worcestershire County Council will be asking as they bring their roadshow to Redditch on Sunday, July 8.

As part of the council's summer roadshow scheme, councillors and council staff will be visiting the Green Fair and Lions Fun Day in Arrow Valley Park between 11am to 4.30pm.

The council is heading to each of the six districts to speak to people about issues in their area.

The roadshow teams will also speak to residents about the way they think the council's budget should be spent and feedback from these conversations will be used to inform the budget planning process in the future.

Cabinet member with responsibility for transformation and commissioning at Worcestershire County Council, councillor Karen May, said: "Hearing from residents and learning what issues are most important to them, is vital when it comes to running the county council.

"We really value the time we have to meet people at roadshows, whether it is just listening to what their priorities are, or answering any questions they may have about their area."

This is the eighth year the council has been out to meet residents for their roadshow.

Last year more than 1,000 people visited the roadshows to have their say.
