A REDDITCH-based company is currently at the forefront in helping to tackle the scourge of modern day slavery.
Workforce Staffing which is situated in Church Road has become an official partner of a government backed initiative Stronger Together, which has been set up in a bid to stamp out exploitation of workers and human trafficking.
Workforce employees have been trained the spot the signs of people being exploited by ruthless gang masters.
Operations director Trudy Harding said: "Modern day slavery has no place in Britain.
"People are being lured here with the promise of a better life and then denied the basic rights of workers and citizens, such as the minimum wage.
"We are committed to ensuring gang masters cannot profit from their crime. We have worked with Stronger Together for the past two years and have stepped up our commitment by becoming a partner in this business-led initiative."
