GENEROUS Redditch Freemasons raised a whopping £14,225 for local charities and good causes throughout their masonic year.

No less than 29 different charities have benefited as a result of the Freemasons' generosity.

A final number of donations worth £500 were made recently to groups comprising Redditch District Scouts, The Redditch Branch of Parkinson UK, Redditch Association for the Blind, The League of Friends of the Alexandra Hospital, Indigo Arts, Redditch and Bromsgrove Sea Cadets, and Acts of Kindness which run the Redditch Food Bank.

The cheques were presented on behalf of Redditch Masonic Charity Organisation by the provincial grand masters of Warwickshire and Worcestershire, the right worshipful brothers David Macey and Robert Vaughan.

These took place at the Masonic Hall in Easemoor Road, which was then followed by a lavish afternoon tea.

Redditch Masonic Charity Organisation welcomes applications from any local charity, where a donation of up to £500 would provide them with much sought after financial assistance.
