A MAN from Redditch has been arrested after punching an ambulance staff member.
Police were called to an incident on Ash Tree Road, Redditch just before 9.30pm on Monday, May 21, after reports of a paramedic being assaulted.
A spokesman confirmed a 39-year-old man from Redditch has been arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
West Mercia Police Inspector Lee Page, writing on his Twitter page, added ambulance staff were initially sent to the scene to reports someone had fallen.
He added: "The last thing they expected or deserved was for the patient to punch one of them in the chest."
