COST savings has forced Age UK Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wyre Forest (BRWF) to close its office in Redditch.

Services at the Ecumenical Centre on Evesham Walk will change to the Information & Advice office in Bromsgrove on April 30.

Similarly, the charity also recently announced the Information & Advice office in Wyre Forest will also be consolidated into the Bromsgrove central base.

Interim CEO of Age UK BRWF Sam Humphray said: "These are challenging times for any charity.

"By restructuring and changing our way of working, we believe that we can improve the way we do things and we are absolutely committed to the community that we support.

"By developing a more sustainable and flexible delivery model we will be able to reach more people by removing some of the barriers that people face when accessing traditional, location-based services.

"We thank everybody that has supported us at the Ecumenical Centre and we hope to be able to offer you even better support in the future."

The charity will look at ways in which it can operate an outreach service in order to maintain a visible presence in Redditch.

From April 30, people seeking information and advice can contact 01527 570 490.
