FOLLOWING the success of last year’s Easter egg hunt the Astwood Bank Carnival Committee, along with some Easter bunnies, will be holding another one.

The Easter egg hunt will lead people around the village looking for clues.

A spokesman said: "When you are out on your hunt don’t forget to keep your eyes wide open to see if you can spot a very special Easter bunny who will be looking out for you.

"We managed to catch up with the Easter bunny recently and he said that this was such a great success last year he just had to make sure that he could be here and make sure all of the children could solve the clues and get one of his delicious Easter eggs."

The fun takes place on Easter Monday (April 2) between 10am and 4pm.

Registration is at the Church Hall on Church Road in Astwood Bank, and costs £2.50 per child.

As well as a colouring competition and refreshments, there will also be the opportunity to enter this year’s Astwood Bank in Bloom’s Sunflower competition for free, with seeds and compost being kindly donated by Botany Bay Nurseries.
