SIR David Attenborough is to present a new five-part landmark series following the lives of different animals, which will air on BBC One later this year.

The broadcaster and naturalist will take viewers inside the lives of different animals – lions, hunting dogs, chimpanzees, tigers, and emperor penguins – in each episode, focusing on the most critical period of their lives.

Each of the animals is the ruler in their families or tribes, and determined to retain their power and protect their dynasties.

STEVE Coogan’s return as Alan Partridge will see Felicity Montagu reprise her role as the DJ’s assistant.

The BBC recently announced that Coogan will be back as his famous alter-ego in the new show, This Time With Alan Partridge.

The series, to air on BBC One, will see radio DJ Partridge return to live television for the first time since his ’90s chat show, Knowing Me, Knowing You.

Montagu played Lynn in two series of I’m Alan Partridge and in the film Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, and will reprise her role across the new series.

CORONATION Street star Faye Brookes has said that its current lesbian storyline is “quite historical” for the soap.

Brookes plays Kate Connor, who has been embroiled in a secret love affair with Bhavna Limbachia’s Muslim character Rana Nazir in the ITV serial drama, and she is also romantically involved with Sophie Webster, played by Brooke Vincent.
