REDDITCH singer songwriter Keri Whip will be performing at a special show this weekend in support of her new release.

Single Let It Be was released at the end of last year and is the latest offering from the musician who despite singing for a number of years, only started writing her own tracks, in 2016.

Since then she has successfully beat international artists like Jason Derulo and Ariana Grande in the UK club charts and played at Birmingham's NEC at Free Radio Live as part of a nationwide tour.

The show, at Bromsgrove's Artrix, will see Keri perform a number of live tracks for BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester.

The show, free from 7pm until 10.30pm, is this Sunday, January 28.

It will be broadcast at a later date.

On new her new single, Keri said: "I'm thrilled with the amazingly positive response I've had.

"The song itself is a catchy yet haunting love ballad, with a music video that features some dramatic drone shots filmed entirely by local videographers Big Frog Films.

"The video gained momentum quickly with 20,000 views after being uploaded to Facebook within the first couple of days.

"This attracted the attention of BBC Introducing who invited me to sing for them."

She added: "It's exciting to be receiving offers of collaborations with musicians internationally and along with some great performance opportunities, 2018 should be an exciting year."
