REDDITCH United manager Tim Harris is looking forward to getting his players on the training pitch this week.

Reds conceded late to draw 2-2 with Kings Langley at the Trico Stadium last Saturday but have only lost once in their last five clashes.

They go to Frome Town this weekend and Harris thinks they'll benefit from more preparation time, especially to help cope with the low numbers at his disposal.

Louis Ezwele should return against Frome but Nathan Fox is still facing a month on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Harris said: "The fact of the matter is that we're low on numbers at the moment and had to shuffle the pack even more because of injuries.

"We need to add some strength in depth but it's not easy financially at the moment. Saying that, I can't fault the players at all. We let ourselves down a little in that second half but they have all worked so hard since I came in.

"They have given all I can ask. We won't get disappointed with a point and will look to build on that.

"The one thing I'm really looking forward to is a couple of training sessions. With no mid-week game we can really work on getting some more structure to our play.

"We haven't been able to do that for a while and it will be good to take that opportunity."

On the Kings Langley draw, he added: "The first half performance was very good and I think we should have gone in more than two goals up.

"I have to give credit to Kings Langley in the second half. They asked us a lot of questions and we have struggled to deal with it.

"It was disappointing that we couldn't hold out at the very end but I don't think we can have any complaints."

Harris bolstered his squad last week by signing James Mutton on loan from Hednesford Town.

Mutton, who will spend a month at the Trico, began his career as a trainee at Birmingham City, before stints with Coleshill Town and Stratford Town. In 2013, he signed for Redditch and earned a reputation as an uncompromising and no-nonsense centre-back during his time with the club.

After a four-year spell, Mutton left Redditch in May 2017 to join Hednesford Town.

Harris said: "I am absolutely delighted to have eventually signed James, as over the last few seasons I have previously tried to obtain his services. Not only is he a local lad, but he is a solid defender who will certainly add to what we have available."
