A NUMBER of people were left 'walking wounded' after a two-vehicle crash in Redditch, with one woman taken to hospital. 

Fire crews from the town were called to a crash on Foredrift Close at 2.30pm today (Wednesday, January 10). 

A 44-year-old female was taken to hospital for a precautionary check.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving a car and a van on Foredrift Close, Redditch at 2.30pm.

"One ambulance attended and assessed a number of people on scene who were described as ‘walking wounded’.

"One patient was taken to the Alexandra Hospital for further assessment and treatment of minor injuries."

Officers from West Mercia Police were also in attendance.
