THE Royal Mail has apologised for delayed post to some Redditch and surrounding area addresses, and stressed deliveries are now back on track.

The Advertiser contacted the Royal Mail about the delays, which included Lydney Close in Beoley, which was blamed by a spokesman on the recent snow and ice.

A backlog was delivered to the addresses at the end of last week, and the spokesman said things are now back to normal.

They said there had been some delays to deliveries as a result of bad weather and apologised to any customers affected by this.

"Deliveries are now back to normal and our postmen and women in our mail centres and on delivery are working around the clock to deliver Christmas for all of our customers.

"Anyone concerned about their deliveries should contact our Customer Service Team on 03457 740 740, on our website royalmail.com or by Twitter: @RoyalMail.”
