A MAN has died after being found in a Kidderminster shopping centre multi-storey car park. 

West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the car park in the Swan Centre, in Blackwell Street at around 7.15pm on Thursday evening (October 19). The man was taken to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

A DUDLEY shopkeeper has been fined £1,500 after an inspection uncovered a string of health and hygiene failings.

Environmental health officers found ready to eat coriander being stored directly below a hanging carcass of meat - exposing it to contamination - when they visited Zayd Mini Market in St Johns Road, Kates Hill.

A SPORTS fashion retailer has been fined £60,000 for breaching fire safety regulations at its former store at intu Merry Hill.

JD Sports Fashion PLC pleaded guilty to six breaches during a hearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court after fire escapes and exits at the store were found to be blocked with clothes rails and crates.

CHILDHOOD obesity has risen in Worcestershire, new figures suggest.

Public Health England released the statistics on Friday (October 20), which show that 34.1 per cent of year six children across the county are overweight or obese, compared to 32.8 per cent a year ago.
