AN elderly man who was hit by a car on Stourbridge ring road on Friday has died in hospital.

Michael Dudok, 91, was hit by a car on New Road at around 12.25pm on Friday (September 22). He was treated at the scene by paramedics, but despite their best efforts, he later died in hospital.

A MAN arrested in connection with the death of a Lower Gornal woman following a collision on Friday has been bailed.

Police were called to Wood Road at around 10.10pm on Friday night (September 22) following reports of a collision between two cars. A 30-year-old woman, who has been named as Vikki Jones, was treated at the scene by paramedics but despite their best efforts was pronounced dead at the scene.

A REDDITCH woman has been missing for more than a week after leaving a medical appointment in Worcester.

Jessica Jackson, from Redditch, was reported missing on Friday, September 15, after leaving her appointment in Worcester. Jessica's family are keen to know that the 30-year-old is safe and well.

COUNCIL bosses are urging people to stay away from buildings at the former Burlish Park Golf Club amid growing fears for public safety.

Wyre Forest District Council leaders are asking people to stay away from the former golf course in Zortech Avenue, in Kidderminster. They also warned that trespassers ignoring their advice do so at their own risk.

AN investigation has been launched into the death of a man at Oldbury’s custody suite on Thursday morning (September 21).

The man, who was in his 30s, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and taken to the Bromford Road suite. But at a routine cell check at 2am on Thursday he was found to be unresponsive. West Midlands Police claim that medical assistance was provided, but the man was pronounced dead by a doctor at the scene shortly afterwards.

PRIMARY schoolchildren have buried a time capsule in the grounds of a soon-to-be-opened luxury care home in Bromsgrove.

A Blackwell First School calendar, new £1 coin, photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince George, fidget spinner and a newspaper were all packed into the capsule and buried on the site of The Lodge at Burcot Grange, which is expected to open this autumn.
