POLICE are appealing for information after a collision in Redditch which has left one man with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened at the McDonalds island on Moons Moat Drive around 2.30am on Sunday, August 20.

A silver Gen 2 Proton saloon was heading from Redditch town centre when it collided with a barrier on the island - causing the vehicle to land on its roof.

The driver of the Proton - a man in his 40s - was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the passenger - a man in his 30s - suffered what has been described as life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven prior to the collision.
