A TRIO of school students let their imagination run wild when they designed their dream home to win cash for their school.

Property builders Damson Homes launched a competition for students at St Mary’s C.E Academy in Studley to mark the launch of Lakeside – their latest development.

Youngsters were given the opportunity to win more than £100 worth of Lego and £200 worth of sports and play equipment for their school.

The winning designs came from Elliot Hyde in third, Hannah Davies in second, and Samuel Todd in first, for his drawing of a tree house complete with a central spiral staircase, pet room, and even a hot tub.

Richard Barratt, Marketing Manager for Damson Homes, said: “We wanted to mark Damson Homes’ return to the Warwickshire area by giving something back to the local community.

“All budding architects have to start somewhere and we decided that joining forces with local school children in this way would encourage them to keep active and exercise their creativity too!

“We have been extremely impressed by the calibre of entries.

“It was incredibly difficult to pick a winner but we think we have unearthed not just one, but three, possible star architects of the future”

Construction of Lakeside, Outhill, in Studley, will begin this month.
