CIDER lovers are in for a treat in July as pubs across Bromsgrove and Redditch take part in a 17-day cider festival, comprising of award-winning tipples.

The festival takes place from Friday, July 7, until Sunday, July 23, and offers visitors 20 ciders including some produced exclusively for the event.

Pubs taking part include The Golden Cross Hotel in High Street, Bromsgrove, and Redditch pubs The Rising Sun in Alcester Street and The Royal Enfield in Unicorn Hill.

The Rising Sun manager, Michael O'Callaghan, said: "We will be offering a superb selection of craft ciders during the festival.”

Golden Cross pub manager Cassie Harwood added: "Cider is the perfect drink to enjoy during the summer and we believe that the festival will appeal to cider lovers as well as those enjoying cider for the first time."

Tasting notes, describing all of the ciders will be available.

The ciders on offer include; Kung Fu Cider (Sandford Orchards), Toffee Apple Cider (Mr Whitehead's), Stan's Big Apple (Thatchers), The Artful Roger (Hunts), Somerset Redstreak (Perry's), Pear Mania (Cockeyed Cider Company) and Moonshine Rum & Raisin (Broadoak Cider).
