SINGERS from across the Black Country and north Worcestershire had a dream come true when they recorded at the most famous studio in the world.

Rock Choir members took a trip to London to perform at Abbey Road studios, where many of the biggest names in music including The Beatles have recorded their songs.

The 160-strong choir, from groups in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Redditch and Stourbridge, recorded the Billy Joel song Uptown Girl, Spandau Ballet’s True and the Beyoncé hit Halo.

Redditch Advertiser:

Rock Choir leader, Christa Hugo, said: “We felt privileged to be on such hallowed turf and the experience was incredible.

"The choir members can't stop talking about it and will treasure the memories of the day forever.

"The recordings we made sound fantastic and we still can't quite believe that we did it."
