FAMILIES looking for fun and entertainment next weekend can head to the annual Green Fair and Lions Fun day at Arrow Valley Country Park.

Attractions include live music from Viollettes and Pontiacs, pony rides, face painting, children’s activities, bumper balls, crafts stalls, circus skills, laser clay shooting, owls and an army display.

There will also be a classic car display and Royal Enfield motorbikes on show.

New for this year, there will be community safety displays and demonstrations from West Mercia Police and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The annual event is a joint project between Redditch Borough Council and Redditch Lions.

John Godwin, head of leisure and cultural services, said: "Year on year the Green Fair gets bigger and better and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for some excellent weather to go with it. There’s something for everyone to get involved in for a fun, family day out."

Dave Beech, from Redditch Lions, said: "We’re really glad to have teamed up with the Borough Council again to bring this fantastic event back to Arrow Valley. There’s going to be so much to do, you best get there early so you can enjoy it all."

The event, which is being held between 11am and 4.30pm on Sunday (June 18), includes free entry, car parking and a raffle.
