A MADONNA tribute act was the star turn in a special 80s night as more than 100 guests got into the groove to help raise £296 for Bromsgrove’s Primrose Hospice.

Redditch-based Just Wright Catering organised an 80s disco, a raffle and entertainment from Tasha Leaper as Madonna on Saturday, May 13, at Cookhill Village Hall in Alcester.

The hospice has a special place in the heart of Just Wright Catering owner Andrea Wright, as they provided invaluable support to her late grandmother.

She said: “I have chosen to support the Primrose Hospice as my chosen charity in 2017 as I feel the support they offer patients at their end of life is invaluable.

“My nan passed away at home as this was her wish to be cared for at home and because the help was available to our family it meant her last weeks were as she wanted.

“They also offer great support to family members who are coming to terms with a loved one’s terminal illness.

“Like all local hospices, The Primrose Hospice is totally funded by charity donations and I am really pleased to be able to support them.

“We had a great night. The dance floor was full and everyone enjoyed the buffet which was all made from scratch using only the best fresh ingredients available."

Sam Carter, from Siron Events Limited, also helped plan the event.

Emma Williams, fundraising manager at the hospice, added: “We are so grateful to Andrea at Just Wright Catering for choosing to support us for the year.

“The event was a huge success with people wanting to know what event is next on the Just Wright Catering and Siron Events calendar.”
